The Stanford Nanocharacterization Laboratory (SNL), housed within the Geballe Laboratory for Advanced Materials, provides modern facilities and instruments for the characterization of materials.  Researchers  use high-resolution transmission electron microscopy to study microelectronic and magnetic thin film microstructures.
